Procolobus rufomitratus : ウィキペディア英語版 | Tana River red colobus
The Tana River red colobus (''Procolobus rufomitratus''), also called the eastern red colobus, is a highly endangered species of primate in the Cercopithecidae family. It is endemic to a narrow zone of gallery forest near the Tana River in southeastern Kenya.〔〔Kingdon, J. 1997. ''The Kingdon Guide to African Mammals.'' Academic Press Limited, London. ISBN 0-12-408355-2〕 As recently as 2000 P. rufomitratus was listed as "Critically Endangered" however the most recent Red List has the species as "Least Concern". The 2014.3 IUCN comments, "Listed as Least Concern as the species as a whole is widespread and not believed to be declining at any rate sufficient to warrant listing in a threatened category, although several subspecies are on the verge of extinction and in urgent need of conservation action. A number of the subspecies included here may actually represent distinct species in their own right." == Taxonomy == As here defined, ''P. rufomitratus'' is a monotypic species restricted to Kenya, following Groves.〔 As all red colobuses, it was formerly considered a subspecies of a widespread ''P. badius''.〔 Some recent authorities include ''P. tephrosceles'', ''P. foai'' and ''P. tholloni'' as subspecies of ''P. rufomitratus'' instead of recognizing them as separate species.〔
